Hi, I’m Rosa, and I’ve been sculpting horses with Goksin and the rest of the team for about a year now. I love this group for its camaraderie, enthusiasm, and support–the secret sauce essential to my creative endeavors during a tough pandemic year.

Goksin’s sharp eye, gentle wit and positive energy has been a driving force to improving–and completing–my sculptures.

Depicted here is a sculpture of a Drum Horse, “Solstice,” a cross between a Clydesdale and a Gypsy Vanner. Free-spirited, powerful, and athletic, this young stallion is also as gentle as he is kind. I started working on him a few years ago, but he remained stuck on a shelf until Goksin spied him out of a corner of her zoom screen and encouraged me to bring him to bronze.

“Solstice” is currently at the foundry, and should be completed shortly… I have decided on a series of seven pieces, this being my “Artist’s Proof.” It will be available, so please stop back soon to check out the final product.
